CINDERELLA MAN
Hello, Diego, my Dear Friend:
This is a poem, but it’s a letter also.
This is a letter-poem, and a poem-letter.
It began to born just this evening.
Why? Because I was telling you some crazy things.
Crazy things which more later I remembered.
Some time later,
(two or three hours), this night,
tonight Tuesday, some hours ago,
I have seen “Cinderella Man”,
A boxing movie.
This picture movie have made me remember
The things I have been telling with you.
Just this evening, as I said.
Yes, just right this evening.
Why again?, because as the Apostle said:
“I have fought the good fight,
I have run the running contest,
I have remained into my faith”
(My faith in my G’d, in my Brother and
also my faith in Me)
It’s fabulous,
Almost an amazing thing.
Yes, dear friend:
The Truth is This:
“Life is Just a Fight”
or as in the Spanish Language,
we can say
“La Vida es Milicia, del Hombre en la Tierra”
(Life is a warfare from the man on the earth, literally)
almost as the Spanish Philosopher
says in the title of one from his books:
“La Agonía del Cristianismo”
(The Christianity’s Combat).
Life is Combat and Battle.
And when we arrive into Life,
We are as a lone boxer.
Yes, as lonely as is the fighter
On the ring, in the middle of his life,
Or, as the Italian poet so delicated said:
“N’el mezzo del cammin di nostra vita”
(in the middle of the way from our life).
And there we have to fight or to fight.
There is not other chance.
It’s the only chance we have to confront.
And we all, also know that the final combat
That one,
Is almost lost,
though we have been winning all our previous rounds.
That it’s the battle about which
The Apostle was speaking of.
Yes, my dear friend:
You never have to go down your hands,
You never must give up the field
Yes, I repete you:
You have to fight until the last minute,
Until the last second,
Until the bell’s ring could been heard
by the other fighters.
But I tell you also:
You have to be “your brother’s guardian”
“And Adonai Elohim said to Cain:
Where is Abel, your brother?
And Cain said:
I don’t know,
(and answered back: )
I’m my Brother’s Guardian?”And ,yes, as Marshall Meyer said:
“I’m my Brother’s Guardian”
You have to be “your brother’s guardian”,
You never have to answer the bad answering,
In some bad time said Cain to our Father G’d.
Because, if we ar not our brothers’ guardians,
We are not the winners,
The, we really are the losers.
We have been lost our battle,
Before the fight had been ended.
And there are other important things:
We have to know and to use:
TEMPERANCE, FORBEARANCE, CONSTANCY.
and, as the Spanish Knights say:
“wait and see”
(paciencia y barajar)
all can be explain with this word : “PATIENCE”
Well, please , don’t receive those silly sentences
as coming from a fool’s sentences,
those topics are Universal Thoughts
that are into the air,
because:
“Spring is into the air,
But Death it’s flying”
All they are the most important thoughts,
Perhaps the only most important things
We have to know.
Well, another time,
At last,
I make my Last Bow,
