The "Kalevala" Fragment

Petri Tikka comes form Finland or "Quenya-land". As a native Finnish speaker he is very well prepared to speak Quenya, which is phonologically based on Finnish. Petri translated a fragment of Kalevala (the Father-lando of the Heores) into Quenya. Interesting experiment, because Kalevala was an impulse for J.R.R. Tolkien to create his legendarium to make first the Elvish language: Qenya (later Quenya). It is a very good oportunity to compare Quenya and Finnish phonology.
Julio Enrique Brugos comes from Argentina or "Tyelpenóre" (Silverland). He studied with Jorge Luis Borges the Ancient German Literatures (Anglo-saxon, Old Norse and Old German Literatures), in its original versions (Elder Edda-poems, Younger Edda-prose, Beowulf, Battle of Maldon, Fragment of Finndburh, Dream of the Rood, The Seafarer, The Wanderer,The Whale, The Panther, Das Nibelungenlied, etc). Nodaways he is teaching Quenya and Anglo-Saxon in the ATA (Asociación Tolkien Argentina- The Argentinean Tolkien Association). He also is reserching all about Tolkien's works to applicate that knowledge in Quenya teaching.

NOTA: The KALEVALA, a poem compyled by Elias Lönnrot, finnish poet (born on 1802 - died on 1884). He lived ar the beginning of the free Finnland, from the Swedish government. He was part of the first finnish men that studied in the University and there he adquired the knowledge adout the intellectual movement, which all over Europe was compilling the folkloric and mythic legends. Then he made a tour throughout all Finnland and the Russian Karelia, speaking and asking to the countrymen about the ancient poesies, he noted them and with those materials made that famoues poem.
